I'm not really for scrapping an idea (Electoral College) that has worked for over 200 years in the name of expediency...

The whole way we elect a President in this country is all wrong anyway. The current system needs to be scrapped in favor of a series of 4 rotating regional primaries. Then the winners battle it out in the fall. All this business of delegates, super delegates, caucauses can then be done away with.

This would eliminate the need for the conventions...whose only purpose seems to be providing free airtime for the parties...along with lots of $$$ for the host cities.

Then how about scrapping the Electoral College?

So far, no one has convinced me as to why such a system wouldn't work.
